As we usher in a New Year, it’s a great time to reflect on our accomplishments of past year as we prepare for the challenges of 2006.

In July 2005 If Only In My Dreams was released. It had a slow start in sales, but reviews were enthusiastic and positive from the beginning. Sales are picking up steam as word spreads of this hot new romantic intrigue. Check out reviews and an excerpt at www.rmoreenclarke.com .

In September 2005, I signed a contract with a literary agent to represent my work. It was a wonderful beginning to the New Year when Kensington Publishing offered a book deal for my latest work The Handy Man.  We look forward to the eagerly anticipated release of The Handy Man in 2007.

The Amethyst is pleased to recognize and promote new and upcoming talent in my Coming of Age section. This month’s selection entitled ‘Addiction’ was submitted by an emerging DC area poet who simply goes by the name Infinite Self. Check it out!

His hand tightened around the cold metal, as he accepted the weight of it. Oblivious, Evan continued towards him, just as he turned to enter the bedroom, he raised his head and caught sight of his cousin. His eyes met Brad’s over Mandy’s bent head.
