All I can say is WOW!!!! , April 6, 2004
I
was curious when I saw the title, but it didn't prepare me for what
was yet to come. I think everyone no matter what race has had a
"Monica Moment" in her life. I think this book is well written and
a must read for every modern women...TRAYS3000-West Palm Beach,

In
search of ... , January 21, 2002
In Search of Good Men was not only a taste of reality it also reminded
me of some of my ex's and the problems you encounter in trying to
develop a relationship in today's fast paced society. It also lets
you know of the baggage that we all bring into a relationship. I
thought it was well written and a must read....Darlene-Tulsa, OK
An
Author Speaks!!! , April 20, 2002
The title alone made me pick up the book. I thought it was a lesson
plan inside, and I needed to take notes. On a serious note, Monica
reminded me so much of myself. Going through rocky relationships,
and dating all the bad apples in the bunch before you find a good
one. A very persistence and determining woman. And yes, as black
woman we tend to get a little bit desperate and settle for less.
But sometimes we have no choice when their are no more good men
out there.(And sometimes even the married ones aren't good) Ms.
Clarke tells the story in her point of view. And from one sister
to the next, I commend you on your goals and accomplishments. Not
to many sisters congratulate one another for that. We tend to drag
each other down to the ground, but I give you 2 thumbs up for that.
Continued success!!! Let's start supporting our self published authors...Melissa

The
Real Deal! , April 6, 2004
Monica
Edwards is a divorced single mother, now dealing with the dating
scene. She finds it difficult to make it in the dating world. Many
women can relate to some of the experiences that she goes through
in trying to find herself again.
In
reading this book I found it very easy to follow and I could not
wait to find out what was going to happen on the next page. The
writer of this book kept me wanting more I read the entire book
in one sitting. I would recommend this book to all my single girlfriends.
It is a real story for real women. I give the book 5 stars because
it is a really good book and I enjoyed reading it. I hope there
are more to come!...a reader from WPB
I Know Many Women Who Can Relate..... , January
15, 2002
This
is defintely a book that all women can relate to. Most women may
not want to admit that they have been "Monica" at one time in their
life, however Moreen Clarke has said it all for us. She has truly
captured the spritit of a woman just looking for "Mr Do Right".
I found myself laughing and reminiscing on my own past experiences.
I anxiously await her next book.

It's Raining Men! , December 22, 2001
This is the first
book I've read by Miss Clarke and hers is a voice that strikes a
new chord. While the difficulties of dating for the professional
African-American woman are often the subject of talk show chatter,
Miss Clarke manages to get under the skin of her characters and
humanizes their foibles with humor and a deft delineation of their
emotional lives. I literally read this book in one sitting - a satisfying
read. I very much look forward to her next effort.
